Village Swingers is happy to announce we are joining forces with Gerrymanders to offer square dance lessons in Montgomery County this Fall.
A FREE Open House Dance will be held on September 13th from 7:00 to 8:30 PM. The open house begins a series of progressive lessons to be held on Wednesday nights.
Lessons will take place at the North Chevy Chase Christian Church, 8814 Kensington Parkway, Chevy Chase, MD 20815.
Details about the Fall 2023 Wednesday Night Lessons
The lessons will teach you all the MAINSTREAM square dance calls.
Lessons will be held on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM.
Lessons will be taught by Kenny Farris and Bruce Simpers.
There will be a total of 18 lessons including the open house.
No lesson will be held on November 22nd..
There is no cost for the open house if you do not continue with the lessons.
The instructional fee is $60.00 for each set of 6 lessons.
The fee is payable at lesson #2 on Feb 20th, lesson #7 on October 25th and lesson #13 on December 13th.
Students in the third set of lessons will be invited to attend the first hour of three Saturday night dances at no additional cost.
Students are welcome to stay and watch the experienced dancers from 8:30 to 10:00 PM.
Additional details for "angels" about Wednesday Nights this Fall
The lessons are from 7:00 to 8:30 PM. Your volunteer efforts will be appreciated.
A normal dance will follow from 8:30 to 10:00 PM.
The dance will be called at MAINSTREAM or PLUS depending on the skill level of those present.
There will be a fee for the angels who chose to stay and dance.
